베품에 관한 말씀

 

루카 6,38

38 주어라. 그러면 너희도 받을 것이다. 누르고 흔들어서 넘치도록 후하게 되어 너희 품에 담아 주실 것이다. 너희가 되질하는 바로 그 되로 너희도 되받을 것이다.”

 

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."

 

루카 6,29-31

29 네 뺨을 때리는 자에게 다른 뺨을 내밀고, 네 겉옷을 가져가는 자는 속옷도 가져가게 내버려 두어라.

30 달라고 하면 누구에게나 주고, 네 것을 가져가는 이에게서 되찾으려고 하지 마라.

31 남이 너희에게 해 주기를 바라는 그대로 너희도 남에게 해 주어라.

 

29 If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic.

30 Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back.

31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.

 

 

마태오 25,40

40 ‘내가 진실로 너희에게 말한다. 너희가 내 형제들인 이 가장 작은 이들 가운데 한 사람에게 해 준 것이 바로 나에게 해 준 것이다.’

 

 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'

 

 

창세기 13,8-9

8 아브람이 롯에게 말하였다. “우리는 한 혈육이 아니냐? 너와 나 사이에, 그리고 내 목자들과 너의 목자들 사이에 싸움이 일어나서는 안 된다.

9 온 땅이 네 앞에 펼쳐져 있지 않느냐? 내게서 갈라져 나가라. 네가 왼쪽으로 가면 나는 오른쪽으로 가고, 네가 오른쪽으로 가면 나는 왼쪽으로 가겠다.”

 

8 So Abram said to Lot, "Let's not have any quarreling between you and me, or between your herdsmen and mine, for we are brothers.

9 Is not the whole land before you? Let's part company. If you go to the left, I'll go to the right; if you go to the right, I'll go to the left."

 

마태오 6,19-21

19 “너희는 자신을 위하여 보물을 땅에 쌓아 두지 마라. 땅에서는 좀과 녹이 망가뜨리고 도둑들이 뚫고 들어와 훔쳐 간다.

20 그러므로 하늘에 보물을 쌓아라. 거기에서는 좀도 녹도 망가뜨리지 못하고, 도둑들이 뚫고 들어오지도 못하며 훔쳐 가지도 못한다.

21 사실 너의 보물이 있는 곳에 너의 마음도 있다.”

 

19 "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.

20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.

21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

 

마태오 6,24

24 “아무도 두 주인을 섬길 수 없다. 한쪽은 미워하고 다른 쪽은 사랑하며, 한쪽은 떠받들고 다른 쪽은 업신여기게 된다. 너희는 하느님과 재물을 함께 섬길 수 없다.”

 

"No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.

 

1요한 3,17

17 누구든지 세상 재물을 가지고 있으면서도 자기 형제가 궁핍한 것을 보고 그에게 마음을 닫아 버리면, 하느님 사랑이 어떻게 그 사람 안에 머무를 수 있겠습니까?

 

If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?

 

잠언 11,25

축복해 주는 이는 자기도 흡족해지고 마실 물을 주는 이는 자신도 흠뻑 마시게 된다.

 

A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.

 

로마서 12,17-21

17 아무에게도 악을 악으로 갚지 말고, 모든 사람에게 좋은 일을 해 줄 뜻을 품으십시오.

18 여러분 쪽에서 할 수 있는 대로, 모든 사람과 평화로이 지내십시오.

19 사랑하는 여러분, 스스로 복수할 생각을 하지 말고 하느님의 진노에 맡기십시오. 성경에서도 “복수는 내가 할 일, 내가 보복하리라.” 하고 주님께서 말씀하십니다.

20 오히려 “그대의 원수가 주리거든 먹을 것을 주고, 목말라하거든 마실 것을 주십시오. 그렇게 하는 것은 그대가 숯불을 그의 머리에 놓는 셈입니다.”

21 악에 굴복당하지 말고 선으로 악을 굴복시키십시오.

 

17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody.

18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

19 Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay,"says the Lord.

20 on the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head."

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
